How You Will Make An Impact
- Manage daily operations for Snowflake and AWS infrastructure, including account creation, job monitoring, and data modeling.
- Maintain reliability, uptime, and backup integrity of software tools.
- Write, test, and optimize SQL queries across cloud-based data platforms.
- Migrate datasets between database platforms.
- Develop and support integrations for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management (FSCM).
- Provide timely ad-hoc data extracts to answer business questions.
- Partner with project managers, architects, analysts, and developers to deliver on objectives.
- Diagnose and resolve data quality and performance issues.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for deployments and ongoing maintenance.
- Participate in Architecture Review Board meetings, offering feedback and recommendations.
- Deliver accurate time estimates for integration and development work.
Are You a Future Data Engineering Rock Star?
- 12 years of advanced SQL query experience, ideally in Snowflake or another cloud data warehouse.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS and/or data tools like Snowflake or dbt.
- Comfortable working with scripting or programming languages like Python, Java, or Groovy.
- Understanding of data modeling (e.g., star schema) and data integration best practices.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, basic production support, and job scheduling.
- Familiarity with API/web services integration (REST, SOAP, bulk data exchange).
- Awareness of distributed data architectures and processing frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Self-driven, curious, and committed to continuous learning and career development.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, or a related field preferred.
