$235,000 – $310,000
A premier global law firm is seeking a Financial Restructuring & Reorganization Associate Attorney to join its New York office.
This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing debtors, creditors, lenders, investors, and other stakeholders in sophisticated restructuring, bankruptcy, and insolvency matters.
Ideal Background
• 2–4 years of bankruptcy, restructuring, insolvency, or commercial litigation experience gained at a sophisticated law firm
• Experience handling business reorganizations, financial restructurings, and Chapter 11 proceedings
• Experience representing debtors, secured lenders, unsecured creditors, financial institutions, private equity sponsors, or distressed investors
• Experience with bankruptcy litigation, contested matters, adversary proceedings, and other insolvency-related disputes
• Experience advising clients regarding out-of-court restructurings, workouts, distressed acquisitions, and creditor rights is preferred
• Working knowledge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code, bankruptcy procedure, and restructuring principles
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
• Ability to manage sophisticated matters while working directly with clients and restructuring teams
• Excellent academic credentials
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
• New York bar admission required or ability to become admitted
