Qualifications:
- Current and valid teaching license from Virginia or Maryland, or expired DC teaching license considered
- Experience working in resource or special education settings highly preferred
- Effective classroom management skills
- Excellent communication abilities
- Collaborative approach with general education teachers and related staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver resource support and specially designed instruction to 4th and 6th grade students
- Develop and implement individualized academic interventions and accommodations
- Track student progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
- Consult and co-plan with classroom teachers and related service providers
- Communicate regularly with families to support student growth and engagement
