A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to work with school-aged children near Maple Grove, MN. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and contribute to students’ academic and personal development.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current SLP license in Minnesota (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong Clinical Fellows are welcome
- Previous experience working in a school-based setting is highly regarded
- Proficiency in developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and conducting assessments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable in diverse learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct and indirect therapy services to students, both individually and in groups
- Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and other specialists to support student success
- Document progress and maintain thorough, compliant records
- Participate in IEP meetings, student conferences, and team consultations
- Educate and support staff and families on communication strategies
