This is a high-impact leadership role reporting directly to senior operations leadership and offers the opportunity to help shape best practices across complex, high-stakes litigation matters.

The firm is known for handling cutting-edge litigation across commercial disputes, white-collar criminal defense and internal investigations, employment and discrimination matters, and complex regulatory and securities cases. In addition to its commercial practice, the firm maintains a robust public-interest platform focused on gender and racial equity, reproductive justice, LGBTQ+ rights, democracy protection, and immigrants’ rights.

Following significant growth since its founding, the firm is looking to add an experienced litigation-support leader who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support an expanding team of Paralegals and Senior Paralegals, with a focus on litigation support, staffing, training, and professional development
  • Coordinate daily case-management operations, including matter assignments, workload balancing, and workflow efficiency
  • Partner with senior leadership to address performance issues, staffing needs, and team development initiatives
  • Participate in performance evaluations and assist in setting expectations and performance goals
  • Develop and deliver training programs and materials; provide ongoing coaching and mentorship
  • Prepare for depositions, conferences, and hearings, including document compilation, witness preparation support, and logistical coordination
  • Support trial preparation and execution, including exhibit management, courtroom technology coordination, vendor liaison, and trial-office logistics
  • Stay current on litigation support and eDiscovery trends; recommend and implement best practices to improve efficiency and compliance
  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, correspondence, and case-related materials as needed
  • Assist with recruiting efforts, including resume review and interview participation
  • Handle additional special projects and administrative responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 7–8+ years of litigation support experience
  • Prior supervisory experience in a law firm or litigation-focused environment strongly preferred
  • This role will have ~12 direct reports between multiple offices.
  • Strong writing, research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and litigation-support technologies
  • Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and service-driven mindset
  • Flexibility to assist with after-hours litigation needs as required
  • Strong judgment and commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards
  • Demonstrated interest in or alignment with civil rights and public-interest work

Additional Details:

  • Location: New York, NY or Washington, DC
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Compensation: $130,000 – $150,000+ base salary, depending on experience

Application Process:
