A highly regarded, chef-driven restaurant in Washington, DC is seeking a General Manager with proven Michelin-starred restaurant experience. This is a critical leadership hire for a concept where service precision, guest experience, and operational discipline are held to the highest standard.
This role requires someone who has already operated at the Michelin level—not someone aspiring to it.
What You’ll Own
- Full accountability for front-of-house operations, ensuring seamless, polished service at every touchpoint
- Drive a world-class guest experience aligned with Michelin expectations
- Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing FOH team—servers, captains, sommeliers, and support staff
- Partner closely with the Executive Chef to ensure alignment between kitchen and dining room execution
- Oversee P&L performance, labor, and cost controls without compromising service quality
- Maintain and elevate standards, systems, and service rituals expected of a Michelin-level restaurant
Non-Negotiables
- Direct experience in a Michelin-starred restaurant (GM, AGM, or senior FOH leadership)
- Deep understanding of fine dining service structure, sequencing, and guest engagement at the highest level
- Proven ability to lead teams in high-pressure, high-expectation environments
- Strong tenure—no pattern of short stints
- Financial acumen with experience managing budgets, labor, and revenue performance
