Facilities Manager | East Lansing, MI

Salary Range: $82,000 - $127,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in East Lansing that are seeking skilled Facilities Managers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for all manufacturing equipment and facilities.
• Oversee all facility maintenance operations, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Manage and supervise a team of facilities technicians, providing training, performance evaluations, and scheduling.
• Develop and manage the facilities budget, including forecasting, cost control, and vendor negotiations for supplies and services.
• Coordinate and manage all facility-related projects, including new construction, renovations, and equipment installations, minimizing disruption to manufacturing operations.
• Ensure the facility meets all environmental, health, and safety regulations (EHS) and internal company standards.
• Implement and manage space planning initiatives to optimize the use of manufacturing and office areas.
• Liaise with production management to ensure facility readiness and support for manufacturing schedules and demands.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in facilities management, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience managing budgets, vendor relationships, and facility maintenance programs.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, building codes, and environmental compliance in a manufacturing setting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a facilities team.
• Experience with CMMS software and building management systems.
