- Current Respiratory Therapist certification; Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferred\n
- At least 1 year of hospital-based respiratory therapy experience\n
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications\n
- Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced hospital environment\n
- Strong communication, patient education, and teamwork skills\n
- Familiarity with mechanical ventilation and ventilator management\n
\n\nCore Responsibilities (Respiratory Therapist Duties)\n
- \n
- Provide intensive respiratory care and patient transport as medically prescribed\n
- Evaluate patients, recommend respiratory treatment plans, and collaborate with physicians and the care team\n
- Deliver physician-prescribed therapies using ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, aerosol and nebulizer devices\n
- Perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning, continuous oximetry and capnography monitoring, and chest x-ray review\n
- Conduct 12-lead EKGs, basic arrhythmia recognition, and pulmonary function studies\n
- Assist with procedures including bronchoscopy support, tracheostomy care, chest tube management, and arterial blood sampling\n
- Operate, maintain, and monitor mechanical ventilation equipment and ventilator settings\n
- Document respiratory treatments, patient responses, and billing/charging accurately\n
- Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to BLS/ACLS guidelines\n
- Support quality improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned\n
