- Collaborate with artists to organize catalogs and deliver complete, accurate information to the Music Operations team for ingestion of both back catalogs and new releases.
- Maintain metadata integrity by completing missing fields, correcting errors, and ensuring assets are properly serviced across YouTube and 450+ DSPs.
- Oversee YouTube Content ID management, including claims accuracy, ownership settings, and monetization of direct and third-party uploads.
- Perform catalog audits to identify gaps or discrepancies in assets, claims, and metadata, resolving issues to protect rights and optimize revenue.
- Provide clear and consistent communication and reporting to artists and internal teams, explaining processes, confirming ownership splits, and tracking catalog status and monetization performance.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in music asset management, digital distribution, or catalog operations, preferably with YouTube Content ID.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; must be comfortable with large-scale metadata entry, auditing, and correction.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to ask the right questions and clearly document ownership across multiple rights types.
- Ability to manage complex content libraries and ensure accuracy across multiple platforms.
- Knowledge of music publishing, copyright, and digital distribution workflows.
- Highly proactive mindset with the ability to identify gaps, correct errors, and maximize revenue opportunities.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with artists, internal teams, and external partners.
- Passion for music and digital media, with a commitment to accuracy and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in music operations, content management, or digital distribution.
- BA/BS degree in Music Business, Information Management, or a related field preferred.
- Demonstrated success managing music assets and ensuring metadata integrity across YouTube or DSPs.
