Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid state certification or licensure in Special Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
- Previous experience working with students with special needs is highly valued
- Understanding of IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) and ability to implement accommodations and modifications
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to diverse learning needs
- Dedication to fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver individualized instructional plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Monitor and report student progress using appropriate assessment tools
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers and related service providers to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development sessions
- Maintain accurate documentation in adherence with state and federal regulations
- Create a supportive and structured classroom environment promoting growth, independence, and self-esteem
