Job DescriptionProject Engineer – Potomac Interceptor ProgramLocation 
<ul>
<li>DC Water Clean Rivers Facility (CMF Building), Blue Plains</li>
<li>Hybrid: Minimum 3 days per week in the office</li>
</ul>
Experience 
<ul>
<li>5–10 years of relevant engineering experience</li>
<li>Experience supporting municipal sewer, wastewater, underground utility, or rehabilitation projects</li>
</ul>
Licensure 
<ul>
<li>Maryland or Virginia PE preferred</li>
<li>Ability to obtain reciprocity within six (6) months if not currently licensed</li>
</ul>
Key Responsibilities 
<ul>
<li>Support the Project Manager in delivering large sewer rehabilitation projects.</li>
<li>Prepare and review engineering calculations, plans, specifications, and technical documents.</li>
<li>Coordinate design development and permitting activities.</li>
<li>Review contractor submittals, RFIs, change orders, and construction documentation.</li>
<li>Participate in design reviews and construction meetings.</li>
<li>Track project schedules, budgets, and action items.</li>
<li>Provide construction engineering support during project execution.</li>
<li>Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and DC Water stakeholders.</li>
</ul>
Availability 
<ul>
<li>Immediate or within 1–3 months</li>
</ul>
Compensation 
<ul>
<li>Up to $77/hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience.</li>
</ul>
