Job Description
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician 2 to conduct routine and special inspections, perform preventive maintenance, and respond to facility requests. This role supports manufacturing operations by maintaining facilities, machinery, and equipment while ensuring compliance with EHS standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment
- Perform EHS inspections including fire extinguisher, eyewash stations, and emergency lights
- Perform various machine maintenance as required
- Execute routine cleaning functions
- Perform minor plumbing repairs and fixes
- Respond to facilities requests from internal customers
- Coordinate closely with outside vendors and suppliers; escort as required
- Support work cell setup and close down
- Move equipment, tables, and shop aids to/from storage and manufacturing areas
- Design and create shadowboards for production toolboxes
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Problem-solving skills, collaboration skills, and verbal/written communication skills
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Occasionally be on call during critical processes (e.g., startup of major capital projects); contact service contractors to resolve facility issues during off hours as needed
- Experience and/or certifications in HVAC system troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs
- Experience with Maintenance Connect database system
- Experience with 5S and/or lean manufacturing principles
- Experience facilitating cross-functional team projects
