A premier management-side employment law firm in Chicago, IL is seeking an experienced Employment Law Litigator to join its growing litigation team. This firm has built an outstanding reputation representing employers across the full spectrum of labor and employment matters, and is looking for a driven attorney ready to take ownership of complex employment disputes in state and federal court.
Responsibilitie
- sDefend employers against discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims under Title VII, the ADA, ADEA, FMLA, IHRA, IWA, and related common law claims in state and federal cour
- tHandle wage and hour defense matters including class and collective actions under the FLSA, IMWL, IWPCA, and BIP
- ADefend and prosecute trade secret violations and breaches of non-compete, non-solicitation, and confidentiality agreements including emergency injunctive relief proceeding
- sManage all phases of employment litigation including pleadings, written discovery, depositions, motion practice, and summary judgmen
- tAppear in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and Illinois state court
- sRespond to EEOC and IDHR charges on behalf of employer client
- sCommunicate directly and regularly with sophisticated business clients to provide strategic guidance and case update
- sCollaborate with senior attorneys and firm leadership on complex, high-exposure matter

- olActive admission to the Illinois State Bar in good standi
