Job Summary

The Spa Aesthetician is responsible for delivering exceptional skincare services in a luxurious resort spa environment. This role includes performing a wide range of professional facial treatments, waxing services, and other skin care therapies tailored to the individual needs of each guest. The Aesthetician plays a vital role in creating a relaxing, welcoming, and personalized experience, while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, professionalism, and guest care.


Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) is mandatory.

• Completion of a state-approved esthetics program or apprenticeship (approximately 1,500 hours).

• Minimum of 2 years of professional skincare experience preferred; 1 year of spa experience required.

• Must possess or be eligible to obtain a valid Puerto Rico esthetician license.

• CIDESCO certification or similar international credential is a plus.

• Can communicate clearly and professionally with guests, explaining treatments, answering questions, and providing skincare recommendations.

• Is able to uphold and enforce high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, in line with spa protocols and health regulations.

• Can work harmoniously as part of a spa team, supporting colleagues to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.

• Is able to remain composed, courteous, and professional in all guest interactions, even in high-pressure or time-sensitive situations.

• Is able to manage time effectively during treatments while maintaining a relaxed, unhurried atmosphere for the guest.

• Has the ability to subtly and professionally promote additional services and retail products that align with guest interests and needs.

• Is able to stay current with industry trends, spa techniques, and luxury service standards through ongoing learning and development.

• Can document guest preferences and service notes accurately and confidentially.

• Has the ability to resolve guest concerns tactfully and promptly, ensuring a positive outcome and maintaining brand reputation.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds, and assist with light physical tasks when needed (e.g., setting up for special events or promotional displays).
