Shipping/Receiving/Material Handler Role
The Shipping/Receiving/Material Handler executes daily shipping, receiving, material transport, and inventory control functions across the facility. This role ensures accurate customer order processing, smooth movement of parts across workstations, and complete compliance with inventory management procedures.
Shipping/Receiving/Material Handler Responsibilities

Process domestic and international customer shipments accurately and in a timely manner

Utilize computers and specialized software to manage and track outgoing orders

Receive, tag, and stock incoming inventory, purchased goods, and raw materials

Transport components and piece parts to and from workstations using forklifts, overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and transport carts

Build Gaylord skins, bins, and baskets for production with accurate tare weights

Assist in crating and staging pallets for shipment by LTL transport

Process and log materials utilized on the production floor

Perform cycle counts, weight counts, and inventory verification audits

Assist with process improvements and maintain compliance with regulatory standards

Perform additional production or general labor tasks as assigned by management
Shipping/Receiving/Material Handler Reporting Relationships
Reports directly to the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor or Warehouse Manager with no direct reports.
About You

Hold a High School Diploma or GED
-
Demonstrate proficiency with Windows (Excel, Office) and ERP system familiarity

Possess basic geometry skills and the ability to read a tape measure

Demonstrate intermediate math skills related to shipping, inventory, batch, and weight counts

Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, and transport carts efficiently

Make independent decisions and perform effectively with or without direct supervision

Maintain adaptability and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
