Whether remote or hybrid in the Washington, DC area, this role offers the chance to contribute to high-impact, secure communications solutions used in tactical and enterprise-grade environments.

What You’ll Do

  • Troubleshoot complex network issues using tools like Wireshark, tcpdump, and custom logging

  • Simulate dynamic network environments with tools such as CORE, NS3, or EMANE

  • Collaborate with senior engineers on secure, performant system architecture and tooling

  • Contribute to open standards (IETF) and DevSecOps pipelines

What We’re Looking For

This is not an application or web development position. We're seeking someone with strong protocol-level experience and a system-level mindset.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in network protocol software development

  • Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS), and Layer 3 behavior

  • Solid Linux systems development, including networking internals and kernel modules

  • Advanced programming skills in C/C++ (Rust, Python, or shell scripting a plus)

  • Experience with network simulation/emulation environments (CORE, NS3, EMANE)

  • B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
