We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join a property management team. This role is essential to ensuring the safe, efficient, and attractive operation of the apartment community. The ideal candidate is hands-on, dependable, and customer-focused, with strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to resolve maintenance issues efficiently and professionally.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs in apartment homes and common areas.
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance issues.
- Complete assigned work orders accurately, promptly, and to company standards.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize future repairs and downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Perform residential painting and touch-up work to maintain community appearance.
- Respond courteously to resident requests and provide exceptional customer service.
- Communicate maintenance issues and repair needs clearly with management.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, and plumbing tasks.
- Experience in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Good time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience in apartment or property maintenance preferred.
- Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs.
- Experience with Yardi Maintenance software is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Work Environment
The role involves lifting, carrying, and moving materials and equipment as required. Be prepared to work both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions. Expect to stand, walk, bend, climb, and kneel for extended periods.

This is a Contract position based out of Torrance, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
