Role Overview
As a Deli Clerk, you’ll be the face of our deli—serving up handcrafted goodness, guiding customers through our offerings, and maintaining the charm and authenticity that define our brand. Your role blends precision, passion, and hospitality in every sandwich, smile, and slice.
Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement & Service
Greet and assist customers with friendly, knowledgeable service. Recommend sandwiches, specialty products, or catering options based on their preferences.

Product Preparation & Presentation
Assemble handcrafted sandwiches with attention to quality, balance, and visual appeal. Slice imported meats and cheeses, plate fresh pasta, arrange display items, and ensure the deli case looks inviting and clean.

Product Knowledge
Know our menu inside and out—from signature sandwiches like The Brando or Chicken Parmigiana, to fresh pasta and imported Italian treats. Answer customer questions and share stories behind our offerings.

Food Safety & Cleanliness
Follow food-handling protocols, maintain personal and counter hygiene, sanitize surfaces, and ensure all products meet our high-quality standards.

Team Collaboration
Coordinate with kitchen and front‑of‑house staff for seamless service. Assist in ordering ingredients, restocking displays, and rotating older products to reduce waste.

Catering & Event Support
Assist in fulfilling catering orders for events—whether corporate gatherings, birthday celebrations, or holiday parties. Help package, label, and ensure accurate delivery of catering menu items.
Qualifications

Previous deli, counter-service, or food-handling experience preferred (Italian deli experience is a plus).

Strong customer-service skills with a friendly, inclusive demeanor.

Basic food safety knowledge; willingness to train for proper certification if needed.
