Job Summary:
This position is an on-site role located in McGregor, Texas. The Project Manager Assistant will assist the Project Manager in overseeing project execution and gaining hands-on experience in managing engineered-to-order projects. This role serves as a developmental position designed to build the skills and knowledge necessary to advance into a Project Manager role.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and tracking project activities under the supervision of the Project Manager.
  • Support communication and coordination with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Help monitor project schedules, budgets, and documentation to maintain alignment with project goals.
  • Participate in client communications and learn to manage customer expectations.
  • Assist in preparing project reports, status updates, and change order documentation.
  • Shadow the Project Manager during meetings and decision-making processes to gain insight into project leadership.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and learn to identify project risks and opportunities.
  • Support compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout project execution.
  • Maintain effective communication with costumer to provide regular updates on project status.

Competencies:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Basic understanding of project management principles is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn project management software (e.g., Smartsheets).

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline preferred, or equivalent practical experience.

Travel:

  • Occasional travel may be required.
