Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable, including invoice verification, coding, data entry, and payment preparation.
- Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing customers, applying payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation in both digital and physical formats.
- Perform bank and account reconciliations on a regular basis.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing basic reports and schedules.
- Enter and track sales orders, purchase orders, and related transactions in the company’s accounting system.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and assist with audits or tax filings as needed.
- Handle basic payroll-related data entry and coordinate with external payroll providers if applicable.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and basic accounting standards.
- Provide general administrative support related to financial operations and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Prior experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or accounts payable/receivable roles (preferably in a trading, wholesale, distribution, or small business environment).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers and financial documents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software (QuickBooks experience is a strong plus).
- Solid organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a small-team setting.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Anaheim, CA.
- Trustworthiness and discretion when handling confidential financial information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with import/export or inventory-related accounting.
- Familiarity with steel, metals, or wholesale trading industry practices.
- Knowledge of basic U.S. accounting principles (GAAP).
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish or English/Korean) are a plus.
