Danielle M. Campbell, PLLC is seeking a Family Law Paralegal or Legal Assistant to join our team. Compensation will be based on experience and may include performance-based bonuses.
We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with prior experience in family law. A strong educational foundation is required, with at least a high school diploma. Because our practice centers on family law, the right candidate must be comfortable working with clients navigating highly personal and often emotional situations, and must be able to do so with professionalism, composure, and empathy.
Qualified candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook. Strong writing skills, including proper grammar and attention to detail, are essential. A polished, professional appearance and demeanor are expected at all times.
This role also includes certain physical requirements, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, remain standing for extended periods (up to one hour), and move about the office as needed throughout the day.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting legal documents and correspondence
- Conducting initial client intake and screening by phone
- Communicating with clients and maintaining client relationships
- Managing and updating the firm calendar
- Electronic filing (e-filing) of court documents
- Preparing exhibits and materials for hearings and trial
- Coordinating hearings, mediations, and related scheduling
- Time entry and general administrative support
- Document organization, labeling, and filing
- Assisting with additional tasks as assigned
