About the Role:

The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the hospitality establishment to ensure exceptional service delivery and financial performance. This role requires strategic leadership to drive sales growth, manage costs effectively, and maintain high standards in food and beverage services. The General Manager will lead and develop a diverse team, fostering a positive work environment that promotes employee engagement and productivity. They will be accountable for managing the profit and loss statements, ensuring that financial targets are met or exceeded through diligent cost control and revenue optimization. Ultimately, the General Manager will serve as the key decision-maker, aligning operational activities with corporate goals to enhance customer satisfaction and business sustainability.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior management role within the hospitality industry.
  • Proven track record in managing P&L and controlling operational costs effectively.
  • Strong experience in people management and leading diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated success in project sales and corporate sales within a hospitality or food and beverage environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or Hospitality Management.
  • Certification in hospitality management or related professional credentials.
  • Experience with advanced financial management software and sales CRM tools.
  • Background in multi-unit management or large-scale hospitality operations.
  • Familiarity with current trends in food and beverage service and customer experience innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage daily operations across all departments including food and beverage, sales, and guest services to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans focusing on project sales and corporate sales to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Monitor and control food costs and overall operational expenses to maintain profitability and meet budgetary goals.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of staff to build a skilled and motivated team.
  • Analyze financial reports including P&L statements to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hospitality industry regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to enhance brand presence and customer engagement.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and resolve any guest issues promptly and effectively.

Skills:

The General Manager will utilize people management skills daily to lead, motivate, and develop staff, ensuring a cohesive and high-performing team. Project sales and corporate sales expertise will be critical in identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities, driving revenue growth. Cost control and food cost management skills will be applied to monitor expenses closely and optimize profitability without compromising quality. Proficiency in P&L management will enable the General Manager to analyze financial data, make informed decisions, and implement strategies that enhance financial outcomes. Additionally, hospitality and food and beverage knowledge will guide operational standards and customer service excellence, ensuring the establishment meets industry benchmarks and guest expectations.
