Compensation: $85,000 – $100,000 / year
Level: Entry-Level to Junior Associate (0–3 years)
The Opportunity
Are you a newly barred or junior attorney looking to build a career in litigation and creditors' rights? We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our client's team in Madeira, OH. This role is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in mortgage foreclosure and creditor-side collections while learning from seasoned professionals. You will represent clients in a fast-paced, high-volume environment where professionalism, fairness, and exceptional service are our core standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Litigation Management: Manage and progress a high-volume caseload through the mortgage foreclosure and collection lifecycle.
- Dual-State Representation: Represent clients and attend hearings across both Ohio and Kentucky jurisdictions.
- Drafting & Research: Prepare high-quality legal documents, motions, and correspondence while conducting thorough legal research.
- Client Advocacy: Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and expert guidance on case progression.
- Fairness & Compliance: Ensure all legal actions are handled with strict adherence to state and federal regulations while treating all parties with respect and fairness.
Required Qualifications (Must Haves)
- Dual Licensure: Active Law License in both Ohio and Kentucky in good standing (Required).
- Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Experience: 0–3 years of legal experience. We are open to newly barred attorneys who possess a strong work ethic and a desire to learn.
- Communication: Exceptional oral and written communication skills with a focus on professional advocacy.
- Organization: Superior organizational abilities to manage high-volume deadlines and court calendars.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant Background: Prior legal internship, clerkship, or coursework in foreclosure, collections, or general civil litigation.
- Industry Familiarity: Basic understanding of creditor-side legal procedures and multi-state litigation.
