Property Manager – Affordable Housing

Location: Superior, WI

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $30.00 – $32.00 per hour


A well-established property management organization is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Property Manager to oversee the operations of an affordable housing community in Superior, WI. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in Section 8 and LIHTC (Tax Credit/Section 42) programs.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations of the property, ensuring compliance with affordable housing regulations
  • Supervise and support onsite office and maintenance staff
  • Maintain accurate resident files, reports, and compliance documentation
  • Coordinate maintenance requests, repairs, and vendor relationships
  • Market and lease available units to qualified applicants
  • Collect rent and manage resident accounts with a focus on reducing delinquency
  • Ensure excellent resident relations and handle inquiries professionally
  • Report on property performance and meet organizational goals

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in affordable housing (Section 8 and LIHTC) – required
  • Strong understanding of PBS8, LIHTC/Section 42, and Fair Housing regulations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Experience with RealPage and OneSite is preferred
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Location Requirement:

Must be able to reliably commute to or relocate to Superior, WI prior to start date.
