JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:


The Director, Marketing and Content is a strategic leader responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing the company’s traditional marketing and content initiatives. This role focuses on leveraging off-line channels to enhance brand visibility, generate leads, drive business growth, and engage target audiences through cohesive, high-impact content across formats. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in traditional marketing, strong content development skills, and a proven ability to manage teams and budgets effectively.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Marketing Strategy & Execution
    • Lead, develop and implement integrated brand, segment and product marketing and GTM plans aligned with business objectives.
    • Manage directly earned and paid media, influencer marketing, content, print advertising, out of home, tradeshow and events.
    • Partner with Digital Marketing, Trade Markerting and Partnership functions in the strategy and execution of integrated marketing plans.
    • Define and execute the company tradeshow and events plan, including major shows like Shot Show, NRA, etc…
    • Lead, develop and implement an Earned Media and Content Creators’ strategy to drive awareness as well as consumer engagement.
    • Negotiate media buys and placements to maximize ROI and campaign effectiveness.
    • Identify and evaluate emerging off-line marketing opportunities.
    • Manage and maintain relationships with external agencies, vendors, and media partners.
    • Monitor and report on campaigns performance, offering data-driven insights and recommendations for optimization.
  • Content Strategy & Development
    • Define and execute a cohesive content strategy, including both company and 3rd party creators’ content, that aligns with the customer journey and supports business goals.
    • Develop and maintain a network of ambassadors and content creators to support the different brands, segments and product lines.
    • Oversee the creation and distribution of high-quality, audience-targeted content across a variety of formats—such as brochures, white papers, case studies, presentations, articles, scripts for broadcast, event materials, and website copy —in close collaboration with digital marketing and other internal teams to ensure a unified brand voice and messaging strategy.
    • Identify content developing synergies with other sister companies within the group.
    • Ensure all content is consistent with brand voice, messaging, and style guidelines.
    • Manage and maintain a strategic content calendar to ensure timely and effective delivery.
    • Stay current with trends, tools, and best practices in content marketing.
  • Brand Management:
    • Be the brand “champion” across all departments.
    • Maintain consistent application of corporate brand guidelines across all content and touchpoints, both digital and non-digital for Beretta, Sako, Tikka and Manurhin brands.



  • Team Leadership & Management
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of off-line marketing and content professionals, as applicable to the organizational structure and team size.
    • Establish clear team goals and KPIs and regularly assess performance.
    • Cultivate a collaborative, innovative, and results-oriented team culture.
    • Effectively manage the departmental budget, resources, and vendor contracts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Collaborate closely with digital marketing, product marketing, communications, and other cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and strategic alignment of marketing initiatives.
    • Liaise with sales, product, and executive teams to understand business priorities and inform strategy.
    • Communicate marketing plans, content strategy, and performance updates to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Analytics & Reporting
    • Define and track KPIs to measure the impact of off-line marketing and content initiatives.
    • Develop reporting frameworks to evaluate campaign performance, ROI, and strategic effectiveness.
    • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data and market feedback.

EXPERIENCE EDUCATION:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in marketing, with a strong focus in the areas of branding, Influencers marketing and content production. Additional experience in PR management and Events is a plus.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful influencer marketing campaigns across multiple categories and product lines.
  • Deep understanding of brand management and the implementation of brand guidelines across various marketing channels and consumer touchpoints.
  • Experience managing external marketing and PR agencies, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and brand voice.
  • BA or BS in Marketing, Business administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • Industry experience (e.g., outdoor, tactical, lifestyle, or firearms segments) is preferred but not required.


WORKING CONDITIONS PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to lift and transport up to 50 lbs.
  • Work is performed both in an office setting and offsite at different event venues and shows.
