Job DescriptionLocation: Maya Angelou Elementary School located at 2000 Callaway Street Hillcrest Heights MD Pay: $21.00Hours: AM shift 7am-9am PM shift 2:45pm-6pm 90 Hour certification needed for licensing requirements- 45 hours growth anddevelopment 45 hours school age curriculumReady to lead with purpose?AlphaBEST Education provides extended day, summer, and enrichment programs that are designed to inspire and engage students while they discover and learn beyond the school day in a fun, safe environment.As an AlphaBEST Site Director, you'll lead a meaningful before and after school program that helps kids learn, grow, and thrive.We're looking for someone who:Enjoys working with children in a structured, high-energy environmentFeels confident taking the lead and running a smooth programTakes pride in delivering a high-quality student and family experience Takes child safety seriously and follows procedures closelyIs flexible, reliable, and ready to jump in wherever neededIn this role, you will:Manage the day-to-day operations of the site: schedules, ratios, staffing, and documentationOversee/facilitate curriculum implementation and ensure activities meet program expectationsBuild a safe and inclusive environment aligned with licensing requirements and AlphaBEST standardsMake child safety the top priority at all timesMaintain licensing compliance, documentation, and readiness for inspectionsTrack and manage site resources, attendance, and food program requirementsSupervise and mentor your site team, providing coaching and feedback, and ensuring training requirements are metRepresent AlphaBEST with professionalism at school and community eventsBuild strong relationships with families, school staff, and AlphaBEST leadership to support student successRequirements:Must have a high school diploma or GED,Must be at least 21 years oldAbility to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needsMust be registered and have full clearance from the state childcare licensing agencyProof of experience as required by state childcare licensing regulations (see below)Proof of experience through ONE of the following options is required:Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA in a related field) or Associate's Degree (AS/AA in a related field)A 1-year state or nationally recognized credential (related to school-age care)Completion of 20 credits (semester system) or 30 credits (quarter system) of training at a college/university AND at least 1 year of qualifying teaching experience in a Certified Child Care Center (or comparable group care program)2 or more years of qualifying teaching experience (with at least one year as a teacher) in a Certified Child Care Center (or comparable group care program)90 Hour certification needed for licensing requirements- 45 hours growth anddevelopment 45 hours school age curriculumWhy Join Us?This isn't just a job - it's your next step forward.At AlphaBEST, we believe in boosting your potential.
