Test Engineer | Logan, UT

Nexeo is hiring a Test Engineer to support a large enterprise client in a fully onsite, one-year contract role. This position is critical within an Agile environment, executing both manual and automated testing to ensure application quality, usability, and compliance with organizational standards. The Test Engineer will design, develop, and execute test plans while working closely with cross-functional teams to certify new features, system enhancements, and business processes.

Responsibilities

Participate as an active member of an Agile development team.
Execute test plans, controls, and testing activities using industry-accepted methodologies.
Plan, design, and develop comprehensive test cases for assigned systems and applications.
Execute test cases to certify builds, new features, and enhancements.
Evaluate system usability and functionality.
Create and complete test conditions and test cases for new business products and system enhancements.
Validate test results, document discrepancies, and follow through to resolution.
Track, report, and communicate testing issues and progress to management.
Identify gaps between organizational standards and user applications and recommend modifications.
Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test plans across test phases.
Write code, scripts, or procedures to test systems and/or controls.
Review testing deliverables to ensure proper testing procedures and controls are followed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field and 3+ years of QA testing or software/hardware system experience.
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Advanced knowledge of software and control testing methodologies.
Experience with testing tools, platforms, systems, and related technologies.
Working knowledge of Selenium Grids.
Ability to write test scripts/code.
Strong analytical, customer service, and communication skills.
Proven ability to make sound decisions and recommendations.
Excellent leadership and problem-resolution abilities.
Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
Strong time management and work ethic.
Able to work independently and collaboratively.

Specific Requirements

100% onsite availability.
One-year contract commitment.
3+ years of QA/testing experience.
Selenium Grid experience required.
Ability to write test scripts/code.
Must be able to work effectively in an Agile environment.

Pay

$40 per hour (set rate)

Schedule

Full Time | Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
