This contract position runs from August 10, 2026, through May 21, 2027, offering you the chance to help young learners in Grades 3K and 4K make significant academic, social, and emotional progress. Work Monday through Friday, 7:15am to 2:45pm—totaling 37.5 hours each week—within a dedicated team that values passionate educators.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current and valid South Carolina teaching license in Special Education—this requirement is non-negotiable
- Prior experience teaching special education at the early childhood or elementary level is highly valued
- Strong ability to develop and modify IEPs to support individualized student needs
- Exceptional communication skills for interacting with students, families, and teaching colleagues
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse learners in Grade 3K and 4K
- Assess student strengths and needs, adapting instructional strategies to promote growth
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, specialists, and families to implement IEP goals
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and comply with all reporting requirements
