Position Summary
The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supervising all maintenance activities at the plant level, ensuring effective execution of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance in alignment with corporate maintenance standards and production requirements.
This role serves as the primary liaison between operations, maintenance execution teams, and engineering support, ensuring maintenance activities are properly prioritized, scheduled, and executed to minimize production interruptions while maintaining equipment reliability, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Coordination & Execution
- Coordinate daily, weekly, and planned shutdown maintenance activities to support production schedules.
- Ensure full compliance with preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and timely completion of corrective maintenance actions.
- Manage execution and follow-up of work orders for corrective, preventive, and improvement-related maintenance activities.
Predictive & Reliability Support
- Support predictive maintenance programs including vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermography, and vacuum leak detection.
- Assist in identifying equipment reliability risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Support Single Point of Failure (SPOF) mitigation plans and ensure readiness of critical backup equipment.
Planning, Scheduling & Resources
- Coordinate maintenance labor, tools, contractors, and spare parts to ensure maintenance readiness.
- Ensure materials and resources are available prior to scheduled work to avoid delays or production impacts.
- Work closely with operations and engineering to prioritize maintenance activities based on equipment criticality.
Continuous Improvement & Root Cause Analysis
- Participate in root cause investigations for equipment failures and downtime events.
- Support implementation and tracking of corrective and preventive actions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability and maintenance effectiveness.
Documentation & Performance Tracking
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records, documentation, and equipment history.
- Support KPI tracking related to maintenance performance, compliance, downtime, and reliability metrics.
- Ensure data accuracy within maintenance management systems.
Qualifications
Required
- Experience coordinating or supervising maintenance activities in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance practices.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and equipment reliability.
Preferred
- Technical degree or certification in maintenance, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience supporting predictive maintenance technologies (vibration, thermography, oil analysis, etc.).
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance KPI tracking.
- Background in heavy manufacturing, electrical equipment, or industrial processes.
