This is a remote position.
Perform advanced automated systems development work in support of Applications Solutions systems.
Responsible for activities during all phases of the system development life cycle including analyzing, diagnosing and
resolving software, data, hardware and reporting problems and troubleshooting system issues for internal and
external clients. Develops and tests Java Applications that meet design specifications, including accessibility and
usability requirements. Documents current processes, reviews written specification additions/modifications and
creates test cases for submitted defects involving new and modified program policies. Analyze, design, and develop
logical, structured programs and systems appropriate to customer needs which are well-documented programs and
that may be maintained by others. Ensure adherence to program documentation and procedural standards, and
management goals and objectives. Performs other duties as assigned to maintain operations.
RequirementsMinimum 8 years of experience required for the following Skills :
Java
JSP/HTML/CSS/Javascript/Bootstrap 2.0
Experience in SQL, DDL, DML, Stored Procedures
Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Batch
Knowledge of Web API Development, including SOAP, REST, XML, and
JSON, REST preferred
Working knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) concepts and
technology
MS Azure Cloud technologies – Java on Azure, Azure SQL Server, JBOSS
EAP on Azure
Working knowledge of scripting and batch processing in legacy and
current technology
Experience with building WCAG compliant web applications
Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles,
practices and techniques of application programming and software
design
Ability to accurately test software applications using a data driven
development approach
Skill in solving problems; in scheduling, testing, installing, and
implementing
Preferred :
3 years experience using GitHub in DevOps Cloud Environment
3 years in strong written and verbal communication skills to document relevant
issues clearly and accurately, and prepare accurate, concise, reliable
reports
3 years in SDLC tools – Visio, Miro, ERWIN, Jira, Confluence, and ALM Octane
Other programming languages: .Net, C#
Experience with integrating web services across cloud platforms,
Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services and PaaS environments
Experience with automating identity management services to include
user authentication and authorization using an authentication
framework, using Azure, Okta, LDAP, Entra
Texas Workforce Commission experience
