We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic customer service professional to join our team!

The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is seeking to bring on board an Operations Specialist to provide coordination of retail logistics and exceptional customer service within our DAR Store.

With a legacy of more than 50 years, the DAR Store consistently provides essential member supplies, gifts, and DAR-related souvenirs.

The DAR Store is open to the public and supports all methods of shopping, from in-store to online, by phone or mail. Orders are promptly processed and shipped by the DAR Store staff.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates the processing and fulfillment of orders received through all DAR Store channels (online, walk-in, phone, and mail).
  • Prepare, package, and ship orders in accordance with customer specifications.
  • Provides exceptional customer support and responds to inquiries submitted through all contact channels.
  • Maintain awareness of inventory levels and product availability and monitors stock levels for reorders.
  • Keeps the DAR Store online platform current by updating descriptions, pricing, images, and item listings.
  • Works with staff members to coordinate advertising and promotional materials for distribution.
  • Coordinates with vendors for customized orders and reconciliation of invoices.
  • Reconciles daily DAR Store transactions and balances.
  • Provide mail room assistance in monitoring daily operations and stepping in when needed.

Qualifications and Needed Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in retail operations, customer service, order fulfillment, or inventory support.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Direct experience with order management systems, POS systems, and shipping platforms strongly preferred. Working knowledge of MS Office and spreadsheet software will be key.
  • Must possess a solid understanding of order processing and fulfillment, which should include shipping and receiving. This knowledge needs to include a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities when needed. Will need to manage multiple operational tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of customers.

Perks and Pay:

  • Hiring range is between $25.00 - $28.84 per hour, based upon skills and experience.
