Job Description
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing assigned projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements, timelines, and budget constraints. This role leads project planning, execution, and team coordination while maintaining high-quality standards and fostering strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and manage project assignments from leadership
- Support proposal development and participate in presentations
- Assist in the preparation and understanding of project contracts
- Define project scope by developing detailed task lists
- Establish and manage project budgets and schedules
- Participate in project team selection and resource planning
- Assign tasks, budgets, and timelines to team members
- Provide daily guidance, direction, and support to project teams
- Ensure accuracy and quality of all technical deliverables
- Monitor project progress to maintain scope, schedule, and budget
- Identify and manage scope changes, obtaining approvals as needed
- Review project invoices prior to client distribution
- Support collection efforts for outstanding receivables
- Proactively identify project risks and escalate when necessary
- Mentor and develop technical capabilities of team members
- Oversee preparation and quality of all client-facing documentation
- Maintain ongoing communication with stakeholders during and after project completion
- Promote and contribute to internal design and production standards
- Maintain organized project documentation and workspaces

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in design and/or project management
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical/vocational field
- General understanding of engineering systems:
- Mechanical: HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and controls
- Electrical: power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage/special systems
- Knowledge of applicable codes and industry standards
- Proficiency in project management tools and computer systems (CAD knowledge preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously
