Chief Wastewater Operator

HELP WANTED TOWN OF SPRINGFIELD Chief Wastewater Operator The Town of Springfield, VT is seeking a Chief Wastewater Operator for a full-time position in the Wastewater Department. The Chief Operator supervises the Operators and the Laboratory Technician normally assigned to the division; actively participates in the technical work, maintenance, and operation of the Wastewater Treatment Plant, Pumping Stations, Composting Facility and Pre-Treatment Facility; and assists the Wastewater Superintendent with technical knowledge. This position requires considerable knowledge of materials, methods, equipment and techniques commonly used in wastewater treatment. Overtime is required and applicant must be able to work under all weather conditions. This position requires a VT Class IV Wastewater Certification and a valid Motor Vehicle Operator's License.
