Job Description

Ventiva is pioneering the next generation of thermal management, delivering air intelligence for electronic devices. Our breakthrough Ionic Cooling Engine (ICE®) technology provides efficient, silent cooling without fans—eliminating noise, vibration, and dust while enabling sleek, high-performance designs that traditional solutions simply can't support. We are empowering OEMs and ODMs to break free from the conventional design constraints of the computing platforms used to tap into the AI infrastructure, from edge devices to enterprise hardware.

Ventiva solutions are unlocking new possibilities for electronics, enabling compute-intensive systems that are lightweight, quiet, and uncompromising in performance. If you thrive in a dynamic environment that values authenticity and bold thinking, and want to have an impact on the future of electronics, Ventiva is the place to do it.

Job Summary:

As a "Material Reliability and Failure Analysis Development Engineer", you will report to Director of Reliability with responsibility for ensuring that our ICE platform meets thermal performance along with reliability required lifetime. Specific role will be in the management of ICE (Ionic Cooling Engine) Air Mover Electro-Chemical reliability kinetics. The ionization mechanism that enables the air flow brings along with it some reliability challenges on the Emitter (high voltage) side as well as the Collector (low voltage) side. The mechanical material design, material selection and process control will impact the product reliability directly.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Determination of ICE design, process, material selection to mitigate high voltage ionization induced reliability issues.
  2. Understand and manage complex interaction of Mechanical to Electrical to Electro-Chemical and Electro-Static reliability mechanisms.
  3. Develop Failure Analysis methodology procedures and processes to transfer to CM in advance of customer product shipments.
  4. Understand and optimize mechanical design vs air flow for air-mover application.
  5. Develop Accelerated Testing methodology and Test-to-Fail failure distributions with respect to mechanical life stress accelerations and accumulated charged dust issues.
  6. Cross functional development with hardware mechanical & electrical design functions especially.
  7. Coordinate with Assembly and Test & Suppliers on DFR Design For Reliability and ORT Ongoing Reliability Testing to ensure predictable Manufacturability, Robustness, Change Management
  8. Contribute to Failure Analysis development and understanding

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Device Physics, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or similar subject.
  • Experience: Proven experience in hardware & software reliability test development, particularly in the context of hardware mechanical reliability and robustness development, process control, automation. Deep understanding of Reliability Physics and Materials Properties (thermal, electrical, mechanical, chemical).

Technical Skills:

  • Mechanical design and simulation to enable technology development and testing to enable product development of mechanical structures for use in high voltage environment
  • Electro-Chemical mechanisms like Ionization, Battery products experience
  • Testing to Failure, Robustness testing, Materials and Measurement Analysis techniques
  • Mechanical Design using SolidWorks, Creo. Simulation using ANSYS and FEA tools
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, C++, or Java.
  • Reliability and Statistical Tools: JMP, Reliasoft Weibull++/ALTA/BlockSim, similar tools
  • Knowledge of data acquisition and analysis techniques

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and reliability.
  • A Proven track record of teamwork and an innovative spirit and curiosity
