Job DescriptionJob SummaryAbout The RoleWe are looking for a Software Engineer to join our storage solution data plane development team. We are working on Project Astra, which is NetApp’s new enterprise-class offering delivering end-to-end application data lifecycle management for cloud native applications hosted on Kubernetes clusters. As an engineer on our team, you will work as part of a dynamic, innovative, and fun team responsible for developing our core data enablement and resiliency features, as well as enhancements to existing products. This is a great opportunity to work on a high-powered team delivering an industry changing product within an extremely high growth sector of the tech industry. What You'll Do
- Translate complex product requirements into leading-edge data storage solutions using C++. You’ll build quality into your code through unit and integration test development and continuous integration pipelines.
- Contribute to team and project technical collaboration and participate in technical decisions.
- Work on additional tasks and responsibilities that will help further team, department and company goals.
Expectations:
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, a Master’s Degree, or a PhD
- 2 – 8 years of previous systems level software development experience in the enterprise storage industry or with another highly complex distributed systems product, or 0 – 5 years of experience with an advanced degree
- Multiple years developing in C++ on Linux (or are an expert C programmer with the ability and desire to quickly learn C++)
- Experience developing highly multithreaded, systems level applications
- Demonstrated ability to learn new software projects quickly and have successfully completed multiple moderately complex tasks
- Experience optimizing system level code where performance is critical
