Job Description

The MEP Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing electrical building systems in compliance with industry standards and codes. Working closely with a small team of 1-4 engineers, this role requires proficiency in AutoCAD and a solid understanding of the National Electrical Code. The engineer will report directly to the Project Manager and support project coordination tasks to ensure timely and efficient delivery of plans.

Responsibilities

  • Develop electrical designs aligned with project requirements and code compliance
  • Ensure adherence to the National Electrical Code and relevant electrical industry standards
  • Create and update detailed electrical drawings using AutoCAD
  • Coordinate with project team members to facilitate project progress

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as an electrical designer in related fields

Preferred Qualifications

  • Engineering degree from an accredited program
  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD & Revit
  • Experience in electrical building system design
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
