Job Description
The MEP Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing electrical building systems in compliance with industry standards and codes. Working closely with a small team of 1-4 engineers, this role requires proficiency in AutoCAD and a solid understanding of the National Electrical Code. The engineer will report directly to the Project Manager and support project coordination tasks to ensure timely and efficient delivery of plans.
Responsibilities
- Develop electrical designs aligned with project requirements and code compliance
- Ensure adherence to the National Electrical Code and relevant electrical industry standards
- Create and update detailed electrical drawings using AutoCAD
- Coordinate with project team members to facilitate project progress
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as an electrical designer in related fields
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineering degree from an accredited program
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Proficiency with AutoCAD & Revit
- Experience in electrical building system design
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
