Cedar Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center
Ossining, NY
Position: Full-Time Lead Chef / Cook
Schedule: 40 hours per week
Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Days: Monday–Friday and every other weekend
Position Overview
Cedar Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced and dedicated Lead Chef / Cook to join our Dietary Department.
The ideal candidate will have culinary training, experience in long-term care, and a commitment to preparing quality meals for our residents.
Qualifications

Culinary training or certification required.

Minimum of one year of cooking experience in a long-term care setting.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Commitment to food safety, sanitation, and resident satisfaction.
Responsibilities

Prepare and cook nutritious, high-quality meals for residents.

Follow established menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines.

Maintain proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards.

Assist with daily kitchen operations and meal preparation.

Work collaboratively with Dietary Department staff to ensure timely meal service.
