Trailer Mechanic (Full-Time / Part-Time)
We are a growing transport refrigeration and trailer repair shop looking to add a Trailer Mechanic to our team. We offer a fast-paced, hands-on environment with consistent work and opportunities to grow. Whether you're experienced or still developing your skills, we’re willing to train the right person with a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities, can train the right person:
- Perform trailer repairs and maintenance on a variety of equipment
- Conduct DOT inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Diagnose and repair brake systems, air systems, lights, and electrical issues
- Perform general trailer repairs including suspension, doors, flooring, and structural components
- Complete minor welding repairs (not required but a plus)
- Accurately document work performed and parts used
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications - all not required:
- Minimum 2 years of trailer or heavy-duty mechanic experience preferred
- Knowledge of brakes, air systems, and mechanical structures
- Basic diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Welding experience is a plus, but not required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
- Valid driver’s license
