APEX Placement & Consulting has partnered with a manufacturing organization in Springdale, Arkansas seeking a Robotic Welding Operator. This afternoon-shift position runs from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and offers $27–$31 per hour. You’ll set up, program, operate, and troubleshoot robotic welding equipment while ensuring finished components meet quality specifications.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Set up, program, and operate robotic welding equipment for production.
  • Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate repairs with maintenance.
  • Read fabrication drawings, welding symbols, and specifications to determine assembly and welding requirements.
  • Measure, position, and secure components before welding.
  • Load and unload robotic welding cells.
  • Inspect robotic welds and complete manual welding where needed.
  • Follow welding procedure specifications and proper assembly sequences to maintain dimensions and minimize distortion.
  • Use welding equipment, grinders, cutting tools, and other shop tools.
  • Clean and inspect finished welds to ensure they meet applicable quality standards.
  • Identify materials and finished components using required production markings.
  • Move materials manually or with approved lifting equipment.
  • Maintain accurate production records and a clean, organized work area.
  • Follow safety procedures and support additional production tasks through cross-training.

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma.
  • At least two years of welding experience.
  • Certified Robotic Arc Welder Operator credential.
  • Ability to pass an AWS D1.1 welding qualification test for unlimited thickness in the 2G position.
  • Current crane and forklift certifications, where applicable.
  • Ability to interpret fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
  • Experience using measuring tools and weld gauges to verify dimensions and weld quality.
  • Basic math skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to support other facilities, shifts, weekends, and on-call needs as required.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Work in a manufacturing environment that may be loud, is not temperature-controlled, and may involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
  • Work around machinery, moving equipment, and vehicles.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods and perform tasks involving reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, and bending.
  • Occasionally sit, climb, crawl, and lift materials weighing up to 55 pounds.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment, including a Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR).
