Job Title: Dietary Cook
Department: Dietary Services
Reports To: Dietary Supervisor / Administrator
Job Summary:
The Dietary Cook is responsible for preparing meals in accordance with prescribed dietary needs and ODH regulations. This role ensures high quality, safe food preparation for residents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare meals per daily menus and dietary requirements
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and equipment
- Ensure proper food storage and inventory
- Follow food safety and infection control procedures
- Assist with dishwashing and cleaning as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience cooking in healthcare or institutional setting preferred
- Knowledge of special diets and safe food handling
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Schedule:
- Full-Time; mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
