From preparing surfaces and repairing drywall to applying the finishing touches, this Painter position offers hands-on work maintaining homes within an Anchorage military housing community. TDL Staffing is searching for someone who knows the trade, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can deliver professional results.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and paint interior surfaces, including walls, woodwork, and fixtures.
- Perform surface preparation, including patching holes, taping, and sanding.
- Repair, install, and finish drywall, including mudding, sanding, and texturing.
- Select and apply appropriate paints and finishes for different surfaces.
- Protect flooring, cabinetry, appliances, and fixtures while completing painting projects.
- Inspect residential units to identify damage and necessary repairs.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas, tools, and vehicles while following established safety procedures.
- Complete assigned work orders within required timelines.
- Interact professionally with residents and assist with general maintenance or occasional custodial duties as needed.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of residential painting and drywall experience, including surface preparation and finishing techniques.
- Valid Alaska driver's license and ability to meet company vehicle insurance requirements.
- Must be able to obtain access to military installations (REAL ID required).
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work independently.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, kneeling, and working in various weather conditions.
