Job Description
Job Description
AST SpaceMobile is building the first and only global cellular broadband network in space to operate directly with standard, unmodified mobile devices based on our extensive IP and patent portfolio and designed for both commercial and government applications. Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today's five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected.
Position Overview
The Mechanisms Engineering Intern will support the Midland Mechanisms team in the assembly, integration, and test (AI&T) of Block 2 satellite hardware. This role provides hands-on exposure to spacecraft mechanisms, supporting engineering and technician teams with testing, hardware integration, and development of test tooling and fixtures. The intern will work directly on flight hardware and gain practical experience in satellite manufacturing and mission-critical production environments.
This internship is from 6/1/2026 to 8/21/2026 on-site at our Midland, TX facility. You must be enrolled in the following semester. If you just graduated, please apply to one of our full-time roles.
