Pittsburgh, PA | Onsite | $35–$38/hr | Full-Time

We are partnering with a leading autonomous trucking company to find a talented Engineering Technician who’s excited to help build and test next-generation AI-powered transportation systems. If you thrive in hands-on environments, love solving problems, and want to work around cutting-edge autonomous vehicles every day, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

As an Engineering Technician, you’ll support day-to-day operations at the company’s test track facility, contributing directly to the development of self-driving truck technology. You will:

  • Build complex automotive wiring harnesses using schematics and harness drawings

  • Perform low-voltage electrical wiring for automotive, trucking, and off-road systems

  • Complete both mechanical and electrical vehicle modifications

  • Turn high-level engineering designs into fully functional systems

  • Prototype solutions quickly and accurately

  • Troubleshoot issues, support root cause analysis, and help implement corrective actions

  • Document your work clearly—processes, procedures, and test results

  • Assist with validation and testing, including building tools and test assets

  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, Logistics, and other teams

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment

Who Thrives in This Role

You’ll be a great fit if you have experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, aerospace, automotive, or similar technical fields, and bring:

  • Experience with electrical/mechanical tools (crimpers, strippers, sensors, harness tools, etc.)

  • Strong understanding of wiring harnesses and low-voltage vehicle systems

  • Ability to work independently and move from concept to execution

  • Hands-on mechanical and electrical modification experience

  • Clear communication with engineering teams

  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail

  • Comfort working daily around large vehicles in an active test environment

Why Join This Team

You’ll work alongside experts in autonomy, robotics, AI, machine learning, systems design, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering, all united by a mission to make transportation safer, faster, and more efficient. This is an opportunity to:

  • Be part of groundbreaking work in autonomous trucking

  • Influence real-world products at the forefront of mobility innovation

  • Work hands-on with advanced AI-driven hardware and vehicles

Schedule

  • Full-time, onsite at the Pittsburgh test facility

  • Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
