The Job
A CNC Machine Tool Application Engineer contributes to the success of Hartwig by working hand-in-hand with our Sales Engineers to provide support and be a technical resource to ensure satisfaction. The customers we serve are in a variety of industries and rely on the us to provide the best manufacturing solutions and support to the CNC machine tool industry. This position is based in Aurora, CO and the surrounding western territory area (New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming).
Main responsibilities of this full-time position include:
- Evaluate manufacturing processes and recommending industry-leading solutions
- Facilitate demonstrations by setting up and programming the machine tools
- Perform on-site programming and machine operation training
- Oversee CNC machine tool installations
- Develop and test alternative processing methods
- Perform time studies for process improvement recommendations
- Conduct research and assist in presenting proposals
The Skills
Individuals who ideally fit this role should meet the following qualifications:
- Experience in machining process development, project management and CNC programming
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge and application of machine tool products, options and functions
- Two- or four-year degree in manufacturing engineering
- Okuma machine programming experience preferred
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
- Excellent interpersonal skills, such as collaboration, listening, respect and work ethic
