Role Summary

As a Journeyman Electrical Service Technician with Excel Electric, you’ll be a key member of our operations team handling day-to-day service work. This position focuses on diagnosing electrical problems, completing repairs, and upgrading systems while maintaining strong customer relationships. You’ll work independently in the field while collaborating closely with dispatch, management, and fellow technicians to deliver consistent, high-quality results.

Key Duties

  • Respond to scheduled and emergency service calls to identify and resolve electrical issues.

  • Perform installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems across residential, commercial, and light industrial projects.

  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding findings, recommendations, and solutions.

  • Ensure all work meets local codes, company standards, and safety requirements.

  • Track job details, materials, and time accurately through company systems.

  • Coordinate with office staff and other technicians to manage workload and priorities.

  • Continue developing technical skills by staying current with tools, methods, and electrical technology.

Qualifications

  • Active Colorado Journeyman Electrician license.

  • At least 1+ year of field service experience focused on troubleshooting and repair.

  • Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.

  • Solid knowledge of NEC, safety practices, and electrical regulations.

  • Strong diagnostic ability with attention to detail.

  • Comfortable working independently and within a team environment.

  • Professional communication and customer-facing skills.

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
