Job Description
An established owner-operator of commercial real estate is hiring a hands-on Controller to lead accounting and financial reporting across its portfolio. Reporting to the CFO, you'll take ownership of the books, the close process, and the accounting team. 
What you'll own:
<ul>
<li>All accounting operations: GL, AP, AR, cash, payroll oversight, fixed assets</li>
<li>Multi-entity and partnership financial statements</li>
<li>Retail lease accounting (base rent, percentage rent, CAM, recoveries, tenant reconciliations)</li>
<li>Annual budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow projections</li>
<li>Banking relationships, debt compliance, lender reporting</li>
<li>Audit coordination, tax schedule prep, and internal controls</li>
<li>Accounting systems oversight (MRI Software or similar)</li>
<li>A small accounting team</li>
</ul>
What you bring:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's in accounting or finance; CPA preferred, not required</li>
<li>10+ years progressive accounting experience, 5+ in a senior management role</li>
<li>Commercial real estate accounting experience strongly preferred</li>
<li>Strong GAAP and partnership accounting knowledge</li>
<li>Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills</li>
<li>MRI Software experience a plus</li>
