Job Description

Armed School Officer - Retired Law Enforcement Only

Cardinal Point Security Group is building a team of Security Officers who will facilitate a safe learning environment and keep students, staff, and faculty safe from violence.

Pay: $27.00 per hour

Location: Bala Cynwyd, PA

Schedule:

Monday to Friday 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Schedule includes regular school hours plus occasional after-school and weekend events

This position follows the school calendar with two months off in the summer

Basic Qualifications:

Prior Law Enforcement experience (Municipal Police Officer OR State Trooper). Period.
Experience as a Federal Police Officer OR Military Police can be considered
Must possess a valid PA Act 235 Certification
Must possess a valid PA Concealed Carry Permit or HR 218
Must possess your own firearm.
Must be able to pass firearms qualification course, required background, and drug checks

Duties & Responsibilities:

Be a Cardinal Point Ambassador: Be on time. Look sharp in proper uniform. Be engaged. Be consistent
Coach and mentor students
Incident Management and de-escalation
Maintains orderly flow of foot traffic in the hallways
Monitors restrooms throughout the day
Report maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel
Walks up to 10,000 steps per day to patrol school facilities and grounds to prevent access to restricted areas, theft, or vandalism
Stands for up to four hours per day
Act as First responder for emergencies
Stands post at secondary locations as required
Identify and report suspicious activity
Cultivate positive relationships with staff and students
Access Control
Monitor CCTV
