Role Description The Asphalt Laborer is a full-time, on-site role based in Latrobe, PA. This position involves assisting with the preparation, installation, repair, and maintenance of asphalt surfaces for residential and commercial projects. Day-to-day tasks may include cleaning and prepping work areas, loading and unloading materials, operating or assisting with hand tools and small equipment, and supporting seal coating, crack filling, patching, and paving operations. The Asphalt Laborer will work closely with the crew to ensure job sites are safe, organized, and completed to quality standards, including cleanup and basic equipment care at the end of each shift. The role requires working outdoors in various weather conditions, following directions from supervisors, and maintaining a strong focus on safety and teamwork.\n

- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Basic experience or comfort using hand tools and small construction equipment (e.g., shovels, rakes, tampers, blowers); willingness to learn asphalt-specific tools and processes.
- Understanding of or interest in learning asphalt installation, repair, and maintenance techniques such as seal coating, crack filling, patching, and paving.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail, with the ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety procedures on active job sites.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills, with a professional attitude when interacting with supervisors, crew members, and customers.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to Latrobe, PA job sites; ability to work flexible hours as projects and weather conditions require.
- Previous experience in asphalt, paving, or general construction is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- High school diploma or equivalent is beneficial but not mandatory for candidates with strong practical skills and a willingness to learn.
