Job DescriptionJob Title: Diesel Mechanic – Heavy Equipment, Forklift & Gen Set Specialist
Location: Baytown, TX – Tenaris Facility
Employment: Full-time, Day Shift
Pay: $55,000-75,000/year
Reporting to: Maintenance Manager

We are looking for a skilled diesel mechanic with at least a 5-year experience in heavy duty wheeled vehicles.
Experience in repairing CAT/John Deere/Komatsu is well appreciated.
A PM Mechanic with experience in PM activities on heavy wheeled vehicles.

• (PM Mechanic) Good knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine systems;

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance using detailed inspection checklists
• Work with diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical systems
• Troubleshoot forklifts, trucks, wheel loaders
• Read electrical/hydraulic schematics
• Use computer maintenance programs to log service and parts
• Interpret equipment service manuals as needed

Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience in heavy equipment maintenance
• Strong knowledge of drive train, diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems
• Experience with Cat, Hyster, Ottawa, Terberg, John Deere or similar
• High school diploma or equivalent (certifications a plus)

Skills/Abilities:

• Own tools & toolbox required
• Strong organizational, ethical, interpersonal skills
• Swift learner, safety-minded, physically organized
• Valid driver’s license require
