As a Technician Specialist - Mid Level, you will be providing help desk support and GIS analysis support to the North Carolina Department of Technology (NCDOT).

Responsibilities:

  • Provides excellent verbal communication and technical assistance and support to the GIS Unit
  • Serves as a primary resource for the GIS Unit help desk and will actively be engaged in communicating directly with customers, gathering intelligence related to customer complaints, troubleshooting technical problems, documenting problems in ServiceNow, assigning tickets to other GIS Unit teams

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree or technical certification preferred)
  • Skills utilizing ArcGIS Pro, GIS analysis, customer service
  • Familiarity with linear referencing solutions, and familiarity with ArcGIS Online
  • Excellent Verbal Communication in customer service situations
  • Ticketing writing within Enterprise Ticketing Systems like ServiceNow or similar
